Miami looks set to make a gigantic splash for this coaching carousel.
According to Mike Ryan of the Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz, Oregon head coach Mario Cristobal is set to be the new head coach down in South Florida.

If this report is deemed true, it would mean that Manny Diaz would be out after three seasons with the Canes.
Cristobal has been with Oregon for the last four seasons and has amassed a 35-13 record. He has 9+ wins in three of those four years, including two seasons with 10+ wins.
His best season came in 2019 when the Ducks finished 12-2 and won the Rose Bowl. His squad was one win away from getting to the Rose Bowl again this season but got blown out by Utah in the PAC-12 Championship, 38-10.
Diaz will finish his tenure with a 21-15 record while also only winning eight games once. Miami finished this regular season 7-5 as the program was anything but consistent.
The Canes will be hoping that this hire puts them back into the national title conversation as they haven’t been in that in over a decade.
