A young person has been charged in reference to an alleged assault on a pensioner.
The 74-year-old was allegedly assaulted on Torbex Street, Cumbernauld on Tuesday, July 26.
Police Scotland launched a probe into the alleged incident and have confirmed that a 15-year-old boy has been arrested in connection.
He'll seem at Airdrie Sheriff Court docket at a later date.
Inspector Graeme McLaughlin stated: “We're conscious of considerations of anti-social behaviour and dysfunction in Cumbernauld just lately and I want to reassure the general public that we now have elevated patrols.
"I'd encourage members of the general public to strategy officers with any considerations you could have or contact Police Scotland on 101.”
