Police arrest 13 at Gerry Cinnamon show as gig goers complain of ticket chaos

Police have made 13 arrests at Gerry Cinnamon's first of two concert events at Hampden Park - with individuals detained for "disorder-related offences".

A spokesperson for Police Scotland mentioned that the individuals arrested have been all males, between the ages of 16 and 53. The gig was plagued with ticket gate points after those that purchased the briefs earlier than the pandemic reported issues with having their ballots scanned.

The spokesperson mentioned: "There have been 13 arrests, all males aged between 16 and 53. The arrests have been primarily for dysfunction associated offences."

Castlemilk-born star Gerry arrived on stage at 9.10pm on Saturday night time after performances from The Snuts, Jake Bugg and the Charlatans.

However tickets issued by gig promoter Music Glue reportedly proved problematic on the gates of Hampden, with punters taking to social media to complain of hour-long queues on the turnstiles.

Gerry returns to the stage tonight with help from Jake Bugg, Travis and Vistas.

The arrests come after police arrested a complete of 26 individuals over three days at TRNSMT on Glasgow Inexperienced. Amongst these arrested for "dysfunction offences" have been a 13-year-old lady and a 53-year-old man.
