West Lothian drivers are being warned that a part of the M8 might be closed for 3 nights for resurfacing work.
BEAR Scotland, Transport Scotland’s working firm, is about to resurface 1.5 kilometres of the eastbound M8 close to Livingston beginning on Wednesday, July 27.
On the nights of July 27, 28 and 29 the eastbound M8 between Junction 3A and Junction 3 might be closed between the hours of 8.30pm till 6am.
A signed diversion route might be in place from Junction 3A to Junction 3 through the A779, A89 and A899, including round 5 miles to affected journeys.
Entry for emergency autos might be maintained always.
Tommy Deans, BEAR Scotland’s South East Community Supervisor, stated: “These surfacing enhancements will enhance journey high quality and security for motorists utilizing this part of the M8.
“A carriageway closure is important for the protection of staff and motorists, nonetheless we’ve deliberate the works to happen in a single day to minimise any disruption.
