A younger Rangers fan has been left crushed by a merciless steward who took away a ball given to him by Kemar Roofe on the Europa League last.
Charlie Ellis, 11, from Cambuslang, attended the sport in Seville with mum Lindsay Gamble in hopes of seeing his beloved group decide up the trophy.
After the heartbreak of seeing the Gers beat on penalties, Charlie's spirits had been lifted by Rangers striker Kemar Roofe who kicked one of many match balls into the stand for the Main 6 pupil to take dwelling with him as a memento.
Nonetheless, the teen's delight at receiving the ball was short-lived after a safety guard promptly took the ball from him as he sat within the stand, Glasgow Stay reviews.
Mum Lindsay mentioned: "It was after the sport and [Kemar] Roofe truly kicked the ball to him and he caught the ball, and he sat there with it. It was after all of the penalties and that.

"Then a safety guard got here and took the ball off of him. He was actually upset at the entire thing as a result of Roof gave him it. One other ball was given out and he obtained to maintain that ball, so the safety guard stored it for himself mainly.
"I mentioned, 'Why do not you simply let him have it?' and there was different folks making an attempt to combat his nook however he simply shrugged his shoulders and wasn't actually eager about giving him it again.
"He was broken-hearted the poor boy after the whole lot else that occurred - no water within the stadium and all that. Only a little bit of a nightmare.
"The safety guard stored it to himself and put it down the place he sat. We waited until' the very finish so my son might get his image taken with Ally McCoist. He informed him the story and even Ally was saying that it wasn't honest. Then we regarded down and noticed the man had gone away with the ball."
Lindsay is adamant the steward needed to maintain the ball for himself, and says Charlie was left 'devastated' at not with the ability to take the souvenir with him again to Glasgow.
She added: "We do not know who the ball belonged as to if it belonged to UEFA however Charlie obtained it kicked in and caught the ball. There have been hardly some other balls left and he obtained one and I believed it was his, however the safety guard clearly needed to maintain it for himself.
"He was brokenhearted. I obtained upset as a result of he was so upset and seeing him like that. He was devastated, he thought that with the ball at the very least he had one thing to take dwelling with him. He had it in his hand."
