A devastated mum states that she misplaced out on £45,000 price of advantages as she now raises her little one alone.
Alice Evans was left heartbroken after her companion's, Daniel Sillwood, sudden dying.
Alice, from the East Midlands, misplaced her boyfriend in his sleep again in 2014, Birmingham Stay stories.
Now the mum, who's elevating her daughter Imogen alone, has criticised a weird regulation for costing her 1000's.
Alice stated that she's going to marketing campaign for a change within the regulation, including: "When Daniel handed away, he was the breadwinner. We misplaced the wage that he introduced in. I used to be left elevating a toddler and working the family single-handedly."
Bereavement Help Funds have been launched in 2017, changing the Widowed Guardian Allowance and different funds. She says she missed out on £45k by not being married.
"Daniel thought the world of Imogen and would do something for her," she stated. "He would come residence from his evening shift and take her to nursery within the morning, then come again residence within the evenings and prepare dinner meals.
"He was a household oriented particular person.” She added: "We simply by no means received married. Possibly we'd have someday - we simply didn’t get the chance."
Nigel Mills, Conservative MP for Amber Valley, stated: "The change goes to occur and the catch up funds shall be made, it’s only a parliamentary course of that wants finishing. Sadly that is not all the time as fast as we would all like.”
