Man arrested over 'sexual offences' in Glasgow city centre on Easter weekend

A person has been arrested in reference to quite a few alleged sexual offences in Glasgow metropolis centre.

Cops raced to Drury Avenue at 9.30pm on Easter Sunday after being made conscious of an alleged incident.

Officers arrested a 40-year-old man in relation to alleged sexual offences.

A police investigation stays ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson mentioned: “A 40-year-old man has been arrested in reference to sexual offences which occurred at Drury Avenue in Glasgow on Sunday, April 17, 2022 at 9.30pm.

"Enquiries are ongoing.”

Elsewhere within the metropolis, a 30-year-old man was arrested on Saturday after an alleged intercourse assault within the West Finish.

Officers raced to Ashton Lane, near the place it meets Byres Highway, on Sunday after receiving experiences of an 18-year-old girl being sexually assaulted.

The person has been launched pending additional enquiries.
