Alberta man faces child pornography charges after investigation with U.S. authorities

DRUMHELLER, Alta. - RCMP in southern Alberta say a person is dealing with little one luring and little one pornography fees after being alerted by authorities in the US.

Mounties say the investigation started in January 2021 when RCMP officers in Drumheller, Alta., had been contacted by a police company in Indiana a few man having sexually express conversations with a 16-year-old.

RCMP say on account of an investigation with Indiana police and U.S. Homeland Safety, a 45-year-old man was arrested and charged final Wednesday.

They are saying Shawn Albrecht has been charged with making sexually express materials out there to somebody beneath the age of 18, little one luring, possession of kid pornography and accessing little one pornography.

Police say Albrecht was launched with an intensive record of situations.

He's scheduled to look in Drumheller Provincial Court docket on Feb. 18.
