Travel disruption due as Lanarkshire road set to close for six days without diversions

Monklands drivers are warned they face potential journey disruption - and are urged to plan forward with their journeys - as there will not be any diversions out there throughout an upcoming six-day street closure in Airdrie.

The city's Glenacre Drive will likely be shut from January 16-22 for drainage works for a housing growth.

The closure will run between the prolonged east kerb line of Glenpark to 75m east, with no various routes on supply.

And gully cleansing will see Bowhousebrae Highway in Airdrie, from Gartness Drive to Craigens Highway, shut for twenty-four hours from January 10.

Diversions for drivers will embody Burniebrae Highway, the A73 Carlisle Highway, the B8058 Petersburn Highway, Towers Highway and Varnsdorf Approach.
