Three people in hospital after A9 horror crash as man charged

A person has been charged following a critical highway crash on the A9 in Easter Ross that left three individuals hospitalised on Sunday night (January 1).

Police had been known as to the crash, involving a white VW Scirocco, white Vauxhall Astra and a white Ford Transit van, on the A9, Inverness to Scrabster Highway, close to Tomich, by Invergordon in Easter Ross at round 5.15 pm.

A 24-year-old man, and two ladies, each aged 26 years, had been rushed by ambulance to Raigmore Hospital.

The 24-year-old man's situation is described by medical workers as being critical however secure. One girl stays in hospital in a secure situation, whereas the second girl has been discharged.

Two different males aged 29 and 25 years, weren't injured.

A 29-year-old man has been arrested and charged with alleged highway site visitors offences. He is because of seem at Inverness Sheriff Court docket on Monday, January 2. 2023. A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
