Teen, 15, assaulted by gang during street robbery in Renfrewshire village

An adolescent was assaulted and robbed of his cell phone by a gang in a Renfrewshire avenue.

The 15-year-old was focused by a bunch of unknown males in Bishopton’s Lochview Wynd on the junction of Craigton Drive, Dargavel, round 7.40pm on Monday evening.

He was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley, after members of the general public rushed to his support, and later launched after remedy.

Police tonight mentioned that there are “4 or 5 suspects” with them being described as aged between 15 and 20.

They have been all carrying darkish clothes with their hoods up and faces coated.

An investigation is underway in a bid to hint these accountable with an enchantment issued by detectives for CCTV and dash-cam footage.

Detective Constable James Campbell, of Police Scotland, mentioned: “Our enquiries are ongoing into this incident and we're interesting for the help of the general public.
