Man appears in court charged with murder after woman found dead in Airdrie home

A person has appeared in courtroom charged with homicide after a lady was discovered lifeless in a house in Airdrie.

John Paul McLaughlan, 52, appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Courtroom on Boxing Day and supplied no plea.

McLaughlan, of Airdrie, was arrested following the loss of life of Stacey Warnock who has been described a “pretty individual” with an “infectious smile”.

The 51-year-old was found by police at a property within the North Lanarkshire city's Barra Drive final Tuesday morning.
