An ITV Information presenter was left red-faced after mistakenly saying the Pope had died on Christmas Day.
The early morning ITV bulletin was being chaired by Kylie Pentelow - when she was telling viewers about his annual festive handle.
Kylie then spoke concerning the head of the Catholic Church's message concerning the coronavirus pandemic when she stated: "He stated that vaccines needs to be made out there to these most in want.
"His demise was introduced....ah.... excuse me."
The anchor appeared reasonably baffled about what she had simply stated, however carried on to the subsequent story, writes Each day Star.
The gaffe was instantly picked up by Twitter, as TV critic and broadcaster Scott Bryan - who is legendary for tweeting out hilarious tv moments all year long - tweeted: "ITV simply killed off The Pope accidentally.
"Somebody get this newsreader a drink STAT. All of us make errors.
"Simply to verify, The Pope is just not useless."
And @AyoCarl wrote: "The information reporter on ITV Information introduced the demise of The Pope accidentally, then swiftly moved on earlier than she completed the announcement.
"Straight confronted and all."
And @Clarkey9 added: "If the pope dies within the subsequent six hours, the police might be knocking on ITV Information' door..."
