David Tennant says he's 'aware of repercussions' with ITVX Litvinenko series

David Tennant shocked followers along with his unrecognisable look in his new ITVX drama Litvinenko.

The Bathgate-born actor starred as Alexander Litvinenko within the new drama telling the story of the ex-KGB officer's deadly poisoning in London in 2006, within the four-part mini-series. The present focuses on the police investigation into his homicide and his widow Marina's 10-year seek for justice.

The 51-year-old portrays the previous spy, identified affectionately as Sasha, who died after ingesting tea laced with a radioactive substance. The Scots star remodeled into the now-famous picture of Litvinenko mendacity in his hospital mattress following his poisoning.
