A beloved member of workers at a Lanarkshire faculty has hung up her ladle as she begins her well-earned retirement.
Kathleen Ferrie has served St Monica's Major in Coatbridge with "nice distinction" as catering supervisor for the previous 32 years.
And it truly is the tip of an period for the Kirkwood faculty as Kathleen's mum, Anne Burns, was her predecessor within the function.
Kathleen, 65, from Kirkshaws, was given a suitably fond farewell by pupils and workers throughout a particular faculty meeting.
She acquired items together with flowers from the kids, her colleagues and members of the guardian council.
St Monica's Major headteacher Jackie Rafferty thanked Kathleen for her dedication and repair, on behalf of the area people and the 1000's of kids to whom she has catered through the years.
Mrs Rafferty advised Lanarkshire Stay: "Mrs Ferrie will probably be tremendously missed on the faculty.
"The youngsters and workers labored exhausting to arrange songs and poems to have fun her time on the faculty throughout the meeting.
"We want her all the perfect in her retirement."
