Urgent recall of Lidl cheese issued after it's found to be 'unsafe to eat'

Lidl buyers have been urged to test their houses for its own-brand Merely Grated Cheddar as it's being urgently recalled.

It's because there could also be small items of plastic which may make the product unsafe to eat. The Meals Requirements Company put out the alert on 23 November.

Product particulars state that it's the 500g bag of Merely Grated Cheddar with a greatest earlier than date of 23 December 2022. Customers who've the affected product can be ready to return it to Lidl the place they are going to obtain a full refund.

The meals's danger assertion reads: "This product could include small items of plastic which makes it unsafe to eat."
