A lorry caught hearth on the A96 this morning bringing visitors to a halt. Emergency crews raced to the scene at Alexandra Highway, Elgin simply after 10am this morning.
Cops locked down the street whereas the blaze was extinguished by Scottish Hearth and Rescue. It's understood there have been no casualties a because of the hearth.
The closure of the street led to lengthy tailbacks this morning, with Scottish Hearth and Rescue confirming two home equipment had been despatched to the scene.
A spokesperson mentioned: “We had been alerted at 10.07am on Wednesday, 9 November to studies of a lorry path unit alight on the A96 in Elgin. Operations Management mobilised two hearth home equipment to the scene.
“There have been no reported casualties and crews left shortly after as soon as guaranteeing the realm was made secure.”
A Police Scotland spokesperson mentioned: "Round 10.10am on Wednesday, 9 November, officers had been known as to help the Scottish Hearth and Rescue Service with visitors administration after receiving a report of a lorry on hearth on Alexandra Highway, Elgin."
