Six South Lanarkshire residents have been introduced with the celebrated British Empire Medals for his or her excellent contributions inside their communities.
Girl Susan Haughey, Lord Lieutenant of Lanarkshire, introduced Kathleen Flynn, Hazel Harper, Sheila Anne Buchanan Hill, Ruby Mitchell, Paul Muir, and Ellen Rafferty with their medals at a ceremony at Strathclyde Park. Elizabeth Russell Seaton of North Lanarkshire additionally obtained her medal on the identical day.
Kathleen, of Hamilton, was awarded the British Empire Medal (BEM) for companies to Meals Provide throughout COVID-19; Hazel, from Lesmahagow, obtained the BEM for companies to the Monetary Providers sector and the group throughout COVID-19; East Kilbride girl Sheila was given the BEM for companies to NHS throughout COVID- 19.
In the meantime, Ruby, of Carluke, was awarded the BEM for companies to the group in Carluke; Larkhall man Paul was awarded the Members of the Order of the British Empire for Worldwide Improvement; and former headteacher Ellen, of Uddingston, was introduced with the Members of the Order of the British Empire for Providers to Schooling and Elizabeth for companies to the Carers Community in Scotland and Elizabeth, of Wishaw, for companies to the Carers Community in Scotland.
