A DPD courier reportedly working 14-hour shifts seven days every week within the lead as much as the Black Friday gross sales was tragically found useless in his van.
Warren Norton, who was in his 40's, was discovered deceased at his steering wheel on November 23 on DPD premises in Dartford at round 7am.
Colleagues stated the person had been working hours around the clock. They noticed him slumped on the steering wheel in his Citroën van, the Mirror stories.
They initially believed he was sleeping and tapped on the window to wake him however Warren didn't reply.
The window was then smashed to achieve entry into the car and the person was given CPR and a defibrillator as an ambulance attended the scene however he was sadly confirmed useless on the warehouse flooring.
The arduous working dad is believed to have been employed by DPD for round two years. Colleagues revealed that DPD urges couriers to to work longer hours within the run as much as busy intervals corresponding to Black Friday and that Warren was working as much as 14 hours consecutively for weeks as gross sales packages piled up.
DPD has denied these claims. A spokesman for the agency stated: "We're deeply saddened by the demise of Warren Norton.
"Mr Norton was a self-employed driver, working for a provider to DPD and was well-known and regarded on the depot.
"Our ideas are together with his family and friends at the moment.
"We completely deny any allegations of strain to work lengthy hours, and might verify that, as a accountable provider, we monitor each driver’s hours for authorized and security causes.
