CCTV footage captured two thugs prowling outdoors a Scots property earlier than stealing a 14-year-old boy's £5000 scooter.
The thieves struck simply after 2am on November 16 and stole younger Kameron Kerr's electrical moped from a shed within the backyard of his household house at Stone Crescent in Midlothian, reviews Edinburgh Reside.
The video reveals the pair creeping across the backyard, in search of objects, earlier than they aim the shed and break the lock. Inside they found Kameron’s new Talaria Black 2022 his dad and mom had purchased for his Christmas.
One of many thieves is seen to carry open a backyard gate, while the opposite pushes the scooter outdoors they usually scarper away.
Kameron’s uncle, Gareth Wynn, defined how the teenager had been ready patiently on his Christmas current, after asking for it for the previous two years.
Gareth stated: “He’s completely past gutted. He’s been asking for it two years – it’s what he actually needed.
“His dad had saved up the cash and it was bought on the finish of October. He was going to get it as a Christmas current and his birthday is simply earlier than, so I feel it was for each actually.
“It by no means even had a mile on it. He was so excited to have it nevertheless it was being stored within the shed.
“I feel they (the thieves) should have seen my sister’s social media put up and that’s how they knew to interrupt into the shed.
“Lots of people have been getting in contact to say it’s occurred to them. It’s all going up, gangs of them are doing it. It’s actually stunning.”
A Police Scotland spokeswoman stated: “Round 7.10am on 16 November, 2022, police obtained a report of a theft of a motorcycle from Stone Crescent, Mayfield.
"Enquiries are ongoing.”
