Wolfe Tones tune Celtic Symphony hits number one on Irish music charts following FAI video controversy

The Wolfe Tones monitor Celtic Symphony has re-entered Eire’s music charts within the wake of controversy involving the Republic of Eire’s girls’s soccer group.

On Wednesday, footage was circulated on social media displaying gamers from the group chanting the lyric ‘ooh, aah up the ‘Ra’ following their 1-0 win in opposition to Scotland, which noticed them qualify for the 2023 World Cup. It sparked controversy and later an apology from the FAI and the group’s supervisor Vera Pauw.
