Scotland weather warning issued as rain to bring flooding and travel chaos

Scotland shall be positioned beneath a yellow climate warning for rain on Friday because the Met Workplace warns the flooding of some houses and companies is "doubtless".

The climate warning shall be in place from 5am till 2pm on Friday will influence areas on the west coast of Scotland.

The Met Workplace have warned that bus and practice providers might be affected with journey occasions taking longer than regular and flooding on the roads may influence drivers.

Scotland rain warning

The Met Workplace warning states: "A band of heavy rain is more likely to arrive throughout western Scotland early on Friday morning and transfer slowly eastwards, clearing early afternoon.

"20-30 mm, maybe 40 mm of rain may fall in 2-3 hours. Heavy rain can even be accompanied by some robust, gusty winds."
