A pensioner has died after being struck by a car in a carpark in Airdrie city centre.
The 84-year-old man was within the Hallcraig Avenue facility when a blue Honda Civic collided with him at round 9.20am yesterday morning.
The person was taken to Queen Elizabeth College Hospital in Glasgow the place he tragically was pronounced useless a short while later.
The automobile park was closed for round 4 hours whereas investigations had been carried out and re-opened round 1pm.
