Whisky spillage sparks large-scale emergency response at Ayrshire factory

Emergency service crews helped clear up a whisky spillage in Ayrshire at present.

Loch Lomond Group's maturation website in Hurlford was topic to an enormous response from police, fireplace crews and ambulances from 11am.

Regardless of dozens of emergency autos descending on the Ayrshire manufacturing unit, the boss of the corporate admits it was only a "small incident" on the Mauchline Highway premises and confirmed the liquid spilled was whisky.

Tony Brewerton, Loch Lomond Group operations director, informed Ayrshire Stay: "As a part of our day-to-day operations when he have a small incident, and it was a really small incident, the place a barrel has both been dropped or has leaked now we have a course of that we undergo.

"The method that we went by this morning after a dropped barrel has yielded a response from emergency providers.

"It is all been a part of a course of, there was nobody injured. There was a small quantity of liquid on the bottom that was contained within the space which it came about.

"The liquid is now being eliminated and it is all again to regular, it is considered one of these weird issues that on a normal day's work it could occur and we would observe our processes and nothing would come of it.

"However at present there's been a response from the providers, that was very spectacular, however sadly not wanted."

A Scottish Hearth Service spokesperson mentioned: “We have been alerted at 11am on Thursday, October 6 to Mauchline Highway, Hurlford after a report of a spillage involving probably hazardous supplies.

“Operations management mobilised three fireplace home equipment and a specialist unit to the scene the place firefighters have been working to make the world secure.”

A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson added: “We acquired a name at 11.12am this morning to attend an incident in Mauchline Highway. We dispatched 5 assets to the scene.”
