Two Lanarkshire towns given go-ahead to host fireworks displays on Bonfire Night

Man Fawkes revellers can have a good time Bonfire Night time as soon as once more with the return of organised fireworks shows in East Kilbride and Strathaven.

Following two years of cancellations as a result of Covid pandemic, third East Kilbride Scouts and Strathaven and District Spherical Desk's annual bonfire and fireworks shows will probably be going forward on Saturday, November 5.

The scouts occasion is held within the grounds of the third East Kilbride Scout corridor in Carlyle Drive, Calderwood. Gates open 7pm with the fireworks show at 7.30pm.

All members of the group could have VIP tickets to ensure entry by way of the aspect gate for them and their households.

Member of the group are welcome to associate with entry being granted on a primary come, first served foundation by way of the principle gate.

Donations will probably be collected to contribute to the price of the fireworks and for the scout group on the night time with tea, espresso, soup, hotdogs and a tuckshop on the market. Please not there is no such thing as a parking obtainable in Carlyle Drive.

Elsewhere in Strathaven, the Spherical Desk is delighted to welcome again its annual fireworks and bonfire occasion to boost charitable money for the group.

Gates open 7pm with bonfire lit at 7.30pm and fireworks at 8pm. Meals vans will probably be obtainable.
