A Lanarkshire MSP has branded the rise in cancellation of operations at native hospitals as "vastly miserable" for sufferers.
Scottish Conservative MSP, Graham Simpson, hit out on the rising variety of deliberate operations being cancelled in Lanarkshire.
The Central Scotland consultant's name comes as new statistics confirmed 212 operations had been cancelled throughout NHS Lanarkshire in August, with 44 on account of capability causes - a rise from 205 in July.
