Police drop investigation into ‘online threat’ made to JK Rowling

A police investigation into an “on-line risk” to JK Rowling over her help for stabbing sufferer Sir Salman Rushdie has been dropped.

The Harry Potter writer, 57, shared screenshots of a message from a person who wrote “don’t fear you're subsequent” in response to her tweet about Sir Salman final month.

Ms Rowling had mentioned she felt “very sick” after listening to the information and hoped the novelist would “be OK”.
