Lanarkshire motorists warned of delays as A73 roadworks get set to begin

Important roadworks are to happen in Clydesdale.

The A73 Carluke to Bogside Highway might be closed for seven days from 7am on Saturday, October 15 between Castlehill Highway and Bogside Roundabout to permit resurfacing works to happen.

To assist to minimise the disruption, the work might be undertaken in two phases.

The primary section will see a full highway closure applied north and southbound for 3 days.

Part two will start on the completion of section one and can see the southbound lane remaining closed, with the reopening of the northbound lane.

Exit from Wildman Highway might be out there at some point of the work, by left flip solely.

No motor automobiles (besides these engaged within the work and emergency service automobiles) will be capable to park or drive on the highway throughout this time.

A signed diversion route might be in place by way of the A721, A71, A72 and A73.
