John Witherow has stepped down as editor of The Instances after 9 years and been appointed chairman of Instances Newspapers, Information UK has stated.
News Corp government chairman Rupert Murdoch praised him as “one of many nice editors of his era” and stated he was delighted he would stick with the enterprise.
Mr Witherow has stepped down with quick impact, and the brand new editor of The Instances will probably be introduced on Wednesday.
He joined Information UK in 1980, and was appointed editor of The Sunday Instances in 1994 and The Instances in 2013.
