Hiker airlifted to hospital after suffering serious leg injury on Scots mountain

A hiker has been airlifted to hospital after severely hurting her leg on a mountain within the Highlands, sparking a hefty rescue effort.

The alarm was raised at round 13.15pm on Friday, October 14 when Police Scotland had been alerted to a walker having come into hassle on Buachaille Etive Beag, a peak located between Glen Coe and Glen Etive.
