A five-year-old baby has died after being struck by a van in Co Derry.
Ollie Simmons-Watt is believed to have been on his bike when the only automobile collision occurred in Limavady on Thursday.
The kid was rushed to hospital following the incident which occurred at 3.40pm within the Irwin Avenue space.
Police are interesting for info.
PSNI sergeant Amanda McIvor stated: "It was reported shortly after 3.40pm that a van had struck a toddler within the Irwin Avenue space.
"We consider right now that Ollie was on his bike within the space on the time of the collision.
"Officers attended alongside colleagues from the Northern Eire Ambulance Service and Air Ambulance NI, and the boy was taken to hospital for therapy, however sadly died from his accidents.
"The highway, which was closed for a time following the collision, has since re-opened.
"Our enquiries are persevering with, and we're interesting to anybody who could have witnessed the incident, or captured any sprint cam or different footage, to get in contact through 101, and quote reference quantity 1235 of 29/09/22"
