Woman, 69, 'traumatised' as masked duo ransack home and steal property worth 'thousands of pounds'

A Renfrewshire pensioner has been left traumatised after two masked thugs ransacked her house and stole property value hundreds of kilos.

The 69-year-old was held in her own residence by the callous duo who swiped private belongings throughout a terrifying incident which occurred round 1.15pm on Friday.

Each males had been carrying balaclavas as they ruthlessly raided the girl's property in Glamis Avenue, Elderslie with police saying she suffered an "horrendous ordeal".

The girl was not injured however left "devastated and traumatised" because of what she has gone via.

Detectives at the moment are on the hunt for the pair with descriptions issued of two suspects they're determined to hint.

In a bid to reassure the area people, police confirmed "extremely seen" patrols could be deployed within the space over the approaching days.

One of many suspects is described as carrying a balaclava masking his complete face, a gray baseball or skip cap, gray tracksuit bottoms and a prime.

He was additionally carrying gray and purple gloves, much like gardening gloves. He was tall and classed as well-built or stocky.

The second suspect was smaller and thinner and in addition carrying a balaclava and a black baseball cap. He was carrying darkish clothes and a pair of darkish gloves.
