Two men charged over Prince Andrew heckler ‘assault’ during Queen’s coffin procession

Two males have been charged with assault after a heckler was allegedly thrown to the bottom throughout the Queen’s coffin procession in Edinburgh.

Police launched a probe after members of the general public stepped in when Prince Andrew was 'verbally abused' as he walked behind his mom’s coffin on the Royal Mile on September 12.

The protestor, a 22-year-old man, was faraway from the scene by officers earlier than being charged with a breach-of-the-peace in relation to his behaviour. He was launched on an enterprise and anticipated in courtroom at a later date.

Police Scotland have now confirmed two different males, each aged 34, are anticipated to look in courtroom after being arrested and charged.

A drive spokeswoman stated: “Two males, each 34, have been arrested and charged in reference to assault following an incident on the Royal Mile on September 12.

“A report will likely be despatched for the consideration of the fiscal.”
