4 Stonehouse teams benefited from the generosity of the village’s Masonic Lodge.
Representatives from the Hope Cafe, Belief Jack Basis and the Avondyke Scout Centre have been all handed cheques for £500 whereas Royal Albert youth soccer sides obtained a complete of £600 from members of Stonehouse’s Lodge Union.
The bumper donations have been all due to Lodge members raised 1000's of kilos due to their annual sponsored stroll.
The Lodge’s Proper Worshipful Grasp Michael Mathew, who introduced the cheques to the volunteers, stated: “We have been delighted to welcome the organisations into the Lodge.
"These teams do improbable work within the village and we hope our donations will assist them to proceed to thrive.
“Our sponsored stroll is all the time nicely attended and we get nice help not simply from the brethren however from their households and buddies who come alongside on the day.
“Over the previous few years we've got donated to a variety of teams in Stonehouse and that's all right down to the laborious work of our members.”
These choosing up the cheques have been fast to thank the Lodge members for his or her help.
