Belfast City Council inundated with requests for dual language street signs

Belfast Metropolis Council has been inundated with requests for twin language road indicators since a coverage change in the summertime.

The guidelines for the erection of a road sign up a language aside from English modified in July.

Since then the council has obtained 500 requests for twin language indicators — the overwhelming majority of which shall be for Irish indicators.
