Armed robber holds shop assistants at knifepoint before making off with cash

A person is being hunted by cops after holding employees at a Scots store at knifepoint earlier than fleeing with a two-figure sum of money. Police say the person entered a store in Clydebank Buying Centre on Sylvania Means at round 9.10am on Saturday, 1 October earlier than demanding money.

Authorities say he threatened employees with a bladed weapon earlier than fleeing on foot in the direction of the Forth and Clyde Canal. He's believed to have taken a two-figure sum of money.

The person is described as being round 40 years previous, roughly 5ft 9in tall and of medium construct and talking with a neighborhood Glasgow accent. He was sporting a black tracksuit, darkish New York Yankees baseball cap and multi-coloured ski masks.

Officers are asking anybody who can help with their enquiries to get in contact.

Detective Constable Catriona MacQueen of Clydebank Police Station mentioned: “No one was injured throughout this incident but it surely was a daunting expertise for the employees members concerned.
