One man has died and a second man has been injured after they have been hit by a prepare on the Dublin to Belfast line at Gormanston in Co Meath final evening.
The incident occurred at round 9.30pm and concerned the 20.50 prepare from Connolly Station en path to Belfast.
The 2 males have been on the tracks close to Gormanston station because the prepare approached.
One man in his 20s died from the accidents he sustained, whereas the second man, who's in his 30s, acquired minor accidents.
The sufferer’s physique has been taken to the mortuary at Navan Hospital.
The prepare line remained closed for a time after the incident and the prepare remained on the scene till shortly after midnight, however a full service resumed this morning after the preliminary investigation was accomplished.
