A person who was left severely injured after an incident in a Scots city has died in hospital virtually every week later, police have confirmed.
Officers locked down MacPhail Drive in Kilmarnock following the alleged assault on a 39-year-old man on Sunday, September 18.
The person was rushed to Queen Elizabeth College Hospital in Glasgow for remedy, however died in hospital yesterday, Saturday, September 24.
Police Scotland stated after the incident that it was being handled as an tried homicide, and a person later appeared in courtroom.
Nonetheless, a spokesperson stated at the moment: “Officers attended at MacPhail Drive in Kilmarnock at round 8.10pm on Sunday, September 18, after a report of a 39-year-old man having sustained critical accidents.
“The person was taken to Queen Elizabeth College Hospital for remedy.

“A 38 year-old man was arrested and charged with tried homicide and appeared at Kilmarnock Sheriff Courtroom on Tuesday, September 20.
“The 39-year-old man subsequently died in hospital on Saturday, September 24. Additional enquiries are ongoing and a report shall be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
