Greater than 70 firefighters are preventing a blaze at a grocery store in Birmingham and have prevented it spreading to a neighbouring college.
The fireplace on the Zeenat Grocery store in Alum Rock Highway, Saltley, is lively and has unfold to flats above the shop.
West Midlands Fireplace Service stated Thornton Major College had been saved secure.
Seventy-nine firefighters had been on the scene throughout the top of the incident, with 12 fireplace engines and 5 brigade response automobiles.
There are a number of street closures together with St Agatha’s Highway, Alum Rock railway bridge, Woodhall Highway, Bankdale Highway, Thornton Highway, Washwood Heath Highway, Chetwyn Highway, Alum Rock Highway and Beanie Lane.
Investigations are being carried out to find out the reason for the hearth.
There have been no reported accidents.
