D.H. Peligro, Drummer for the Dead Kennedys, Dies After Fall

D.H. Peligro, the longtime drummer for iconic punk band the Useless Kennedys, died after hitting his head throughout a fall at his Los Angeles dwelling, the group introduced on Instagram. He was 63.

Peligro, whose actual title was Darren Henley, joined the Useless Kennedys in 1981, then performed briefly with the Purple Scorching Chili Peppers after the band broke up. When the DKs bought again collectively in 2001, he rejoined them.

Peligro grew up in St. Louis, touring to San Francisco as a teen, the place he performed for native punk bands, together with one which sometimes opened for the Useless Kennedys, he informed LA Weekly in 2018.
