Simply as Elon Musk was making his Twitter takeover official, Trevor Noah was roasting the hell out of him for the way in which he went about it.
And the host began with Musk’s weird bit upon arrival at Twitter’s headquarters that concerned posting a video of himself carrying a bodily sink into the workplace with the caption “let that sink in.”
“I do know lots of people assume that was corny,” Noah stated. “However I believe after getting 87 kids, you’re allowed to make dad jokes.” Questioning the place Musk bought the sink, the host requested if it was “the one he ripped out of the wall when the choose instructed him he had to purchase Twitter.” If Jeff Bezos tried the same stunt, Noah joked that Amazon staff would have simply thought they have been “lastly getting a restroom.”
And as for the assertion that Musk posted on Thursday morning assuring advertisers that Twitter wouldn't develop into a “free-for-all hellscape,” Noah mocked the billionaire for going from “free speech cowboy” to promising a “protected area” for firms. “The person has owned Twitter for one minute and already he’s like, ‘Free speech is nice, however you understand what else is nice? Cash.’”
“Truthfully, it’s embarrassing,” he continued. “Not even sooner or later of proudly owning Twitter and Elon is already caving in to the advertisers. Folding like a tortilla round a Crunchwrap Supreme crammed with carne asada steak, accessible solely at Taco Bell.”
