Beatrice and Eugenie express grief in goodbye message to their ‘dear Grannie’

Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie have paid a transferring, heartfelt tribute addressed to the Queen, saying: “Goodbye expensive Grannie, it has been the honour of our lives to have been your granddaughters.”

The sisters, in a written message launched as they ready to mount a vigil across the late monarch’s coffin, thanked their grandmother for “making us snicker, for together with us, for selecting heather and raspberries, for marching troopers, for our teas, for consolation, for pleasure”.

Beatrice and Eugenie mentioned they missed the Queen terribly and thanked her for being “the loving hand on our backs main us via this world”, including: “We, like many, thought you’d be right here without end.”

The princesses – the daughters of the Duke of York and Sarah, Duchess of York – shared the grief they've felt because the demise of the Queen at Balmoral 9 days in the past.

They mentioned: “Our dearest Grannie, We’ve not been capable of put a lot into phrases because you left us all.

“There have been tears and laughter, silences and chatter, hugs and loneliness, and a collective loss for you, our beloved Queen and our beloved Grannie.

“We, like many, thought you’d be right here without end. And all of us miss you terribly.

“You have been our matriarch, our information, our loving hand on our backs main us via this world. You taught us a lot and we'll cherish these classes and recollections without end.”

Just like the Queen’s different grandchildren, the princesses shared blissful summers with the late monarch within the Scottish Highlands because the royals gathered annually on the Balmoral property.

“For now expensive Grannie, all we wish to say is thanks. Thanks for making us snicker, for together with us, for selecting heather and raspberries, for marching troopers, for our teas, for consolation, for pleasure,” they mentioned.

They added, in a nod to the Queen’s modesty: “You, being you, won't ever know the impression you've got had on our household and so many individuals around the globe.”

Beatrice and Eugenie spoke of the Queen being reunited together with her husband of 73 years the Duke of Edinburgh who died simply 17 months in the past.

“We’re so blissful you’re again with Grandpa. Goodbye expensive Grannie, it has been the honour of our lives to have been your granddaughters and we’re so very happy with you,” they mentioned.

In addition they hailed their “expensive Uncle Charles” in his new position as monarch.

“We all know that expensive Uncle Charles, the King, will proceed to steer in your instance as he too has devoted his life to service. God save the King,” the sisters mentioned.

The princesses ended their message to the Queen with the phrases: “With our love, Beatrice and Eugenie.”
