Urgent search for missing Scots man last seen on Isle of Rum

An pressing search has been launched to discover a Scots man reported lacking from the Isle of Rum.

Andrew Samuel, from Fife, was final seen within the bay space round midnight on Tuesday, August 30, into Wednesday, August, 31.

The 59-year-old, generally known as Andy, has not been in touch with buddies or household since.

A multi-agency search has been launched to find him after a dinghy thought to belong to Andy was discovered within the space on Thursday, September 1.

Andy is described as being white and round 5ft 7in tall, with gray hair. When he was final seen he was sporting a burgundy high and lightweight colored trousers.

Officers are urging individuals who stay within the island communities close by to verify their outhouses in case Andy has taken shelter.

Inspector Isla Campbell mentioned: “Our ideas are with Andy’s household at this tough time. Officers are presently conducting searches alongside companion companies in makes an attempt to hint him

“I'd urge anybody who thinks they might have seen Andy or the dinghy round that space since Tuesday evening to get in contact with police.

“When you stay within the island communities close by, please verify your outhouses in case Andy has taken shelter there. Equally I'd ask skippers to maintain an eye fixed out and verify shorelines.”
