Police confirm identity of man found dead on M80 motorway after 'car broke down'

Police have confirmed the identification of a motorist who was discovered useless underneath a bridge on the M80 motorway on Thursday.

John Barr Johnston, 47, from Glasgow, died at Longcroft, Bonnybridge on September 15. The incident occurred round 12.10am when police have been known as to Station Highway, beneath the M80 overbridge.

It was reported earlier this week that police consider John was driving his silver Ford Fiesta northbound on the Haggs junction in Stirling at round 10.40pm on Wednesday night time earlier than it broke down.
