Police have confirmed that a male pedestrian, aged in his 60s, has sadly died following a street site visitors collision on Kildare Road, Newry on Monday, August 29.
It is believed he was struck by a lorry and died on the scene on account of his accidents.
Kildare Road was closed for a time whereas the investigation was carried out – nonetheless, the street has since reopened to site visitors.
Sergeant McIvor stated: “Police acquired a report shortly earlier than 4pm that a male had been struck by a lorry near site visitors lights within the space. Sadly, the male died on the scene on account of his accidents.
“We're interesting to anybody who witnessed the collision, or who might have any dash-cam footage or data which may help officers with their enquiries, to contact the Collision Investigation Unit on 101, and quote reference quantity 1350 of 29/08/22.”
