Michael Stewart in unflinching Rangers penalty verdict as he makes Kevin Clancy admission

Pundit Michael Stewart reckons Kevin Clancy was proper to show down two penalty appeals from Dundee United of their defeat to Rangers at Ibrox.

However he reckons the latter declare, after Jamie McGrath tumbled within the field following a problem with Malik Tillman, might have resulted in a spot kick if the person within the center did not have a transparent view. However the former Hearts star wasn't having Tony Watt's appeals after he hit the deck following contact with Rangers defender Borna Barisic. And fellow panelist Kenny Miller was in full settlement over that decision.

It was a serious day for the Ibrox facet as they secured all three factors regardless of a spirited fightback from the basement boys within the second half. However Antonio Colak 's double was sufficient for the victory as Liam Smith's strike proved merely a comfort. And Stewart is satisfied Clancy bought the massive calls proper on a action-packed day at Ibrox.

Talking on Sportscene, Stewart mentioned: "That one (first incident) was tender, Tony Watt is objective facet of Borna Barisic, and throws himself down.

"This one (Tillman on McGrath), you'll be able to perceive why McGrath goes down as a result of there's contact. That might simply be given, however you watch the replay right here, Malik Tillman manages to get his foot in entrance, it flicks up the ball, it is a slight contact on the ball, but it surely's sufficient, it is not a penalty.

"That might simply been given, the referee might have been blindsided and won't have seen the contact on the ball.
