Meghan confesses to love of Archie comics and redheads in podcast

The Duchess of Sussex has mentioned she romanticised the Archie comedian books as a baby as a result of she dreamed of a “cookie cutter-looking excellent life”, confessing she had a factor for redheads.

Meghan went on to marry the Duke of Sussex who has crimson hair, similar to the collection’ foremost character, all-American teenager Archie Andrews.

However ex-actress Meghan mentioned she didn't title her son Archie, now three, after the favored tales.

Meghan, in dialog with Mindy Kaling on the duchess’s Archetypes podcast, mentioned the comics had been her favorite childhood books.

She described how she used to learn them as a result of she was “alone a lot as a baby” and was a “latchkey child”.

Meghan mentioned she puzzled “Am I going to get the man sooner or later?” including that she was “the good one, not the beautiful one”.

The duchess mentioned: “I used to be alone a lot as a baby, proper, and likewise a latchkey child, and I feel I learn quite a lot of Archie comedian books mockingly.

“My son shouldn't be named after Archie comedian books, however I liked them. I collected them.”

She added: “I feel for me, particularly, my dad and mom break up up after I was round two, three years previous, and I at all times wished this form of cookie cutter-looking excellent life and also you checked out that and there’s like a boy in a letterman jacket.

“I romanticised that. It’s all a part of the issues that make you've got this concept of what you need your life to be like if you grew up.

“I at all times thought I’m far more Betty than Veronica and am I going to get the man sooner or later? And I used to be the good one, not the beautiful one. All these things was wrapped up in studying Archie comedian books and simply, I feel, was aspirational in some methods.”

Kaling mentioned that the comics “by no means bought too horny”, telling Meghan: “Nicely, you want redheads.”

Meghan laughed and mentioned: “I do and I just like the title Archie,” describing it as all being “full circle”.

Archie and associates Jughead Jones, Betty Cooper and Veronica Lodge have been up to date for a contemporary viewers with Riverdale, a Netflix American teenage drama collection.

Kaling mentioned she favored the Harriet The Spy books.
