Man gored to death by antelope in Swedish animal park

An worker of an animal park in south-western Sweden was gored to dying by a big antelope, the attraction’s proprietor has mentioned.

Richard Berglund instructed reporters that he witnessed the incident involving an eland as he was serving to the sufferer take the animals into stables after the park had closed.

“It was a buddy … we’re all grieving,” Mr Berglund mentioned.

The goring occurred late on Sunday on the Oland Animal and Leisure Park on the south-western island of Oland.

Police mentioned the case is being thought of a “office accident”, which is normal process.

It was not recognized exactly what occurred contained in the enclosure.

The identification and citizenship of the deceased worker was not given.

The eland is the world’s largest antelope.

As of Monday, the park had closed for the season, in response to its web site.
