Lewis Capaldi reveals new single is about snooping his ex on Instagram

Lewis Capaldi joined Lorraine Kelly on the ITV couch at the moment to speak about his new single and he revealed it is about seeing his ex girlfriend pleased with another person.

After the pair spoke concerning the unhappy information of the Queen' s passing, Lorraine requested the Scots singer how he has been as he made his musical comeback. The 25-year-old mentioned: "I am not good, not an important week to launch a single! I inform you that!

Lorraine mentioned: "However we nonetheless want music, darling! And possibly when issues like this occur, greater than ever, that is once you flip to songs which might be comforting. " Lorraine requested the singer what his new single 'Overlook Me' was all about and Lewis defined that it was concerning the feeling he received when snooping his ex on Instagram after she had moved on.

He mentioned: "Properly, I used to be in a relationship with a woman, as I usually am, and we break up up - that occurs lots as nicely - and she or he was shifting on and it was like a 12 months later, and I used to be on her Instagram simply creeping and she or he appeared too pleased for my liking! And I used to be livid! The truth is, my blood was boiling, like, what's so good about life after me?

Lewis then introduced Lorraine with a cheeky current of, in his phrases, 'seven inches of me' as he handed her a mini vinyl of his new tune 'Overlook Me'.

And followers took to Twitter to say they had been delighted to see Lewis on the couch, and that he had brightened up their day.
