Kilmarnock bus station abandoned by Stagecoach after youth gangs cause 'serious' chaos

Kilmarnock bus station has been deserted by Stagecoach after youth gangs have been inflicting chaos on the terminal.

The coach agency will not be choosing up or dropping off passengers tonight following 'severe anti-social behaviour' from giant teams of youths.

The entire evacuation of the station passed off shortly after 6pm.

Stagecoach West Tweeted: "Sadly as a consequence of severe anti-social behaviour by giant teams of youths, no providers will likely be choosing up or dropping off in Kilmarnock Bus Station after 6pm.

"The protection of our employees and prospects is paramount so the choice has been made to make use of different bus stops out with the bus station. A listing of the place our night will likely be leaving from will observe."

East Ayrshire Councillor Barry Douglas fumed on the improvement and insisted that the neighborhood cannot let yobs 'win'.

He wrote on Fb: "Unbelievable steps to be taken by Stagecoach however I fully perceive why.

"This isn’t a brand new downside however it appears to be getting worse and worse, we can't let these perpetrating anti-social behaviour to 'win'.

Ayrshire Reside contacted Police Scotland this night however no cases of anti-social behaviour in the present day have been reported to the pressure.
